Introducing High Definition Digital 3-D Impressions

I am happy to introduce digital impressions into my practice.  If you need a crown or a bridge you need to take an impression for the lab. Up til now, you had to have a traditional impression of your teeth. Many patient's used to call it the "tray with the goop".

The digital alternative is here. With digital 3-D impressions, a laser camera takes three dimensional digital impressions of your teeth. No more goop! After your scan, a digital .STL file is uploaded direclty to a dental laboratory that mills your crown using the latest CAD/CAM technology. Typical crowns and bridges are milled from BruxZir (TM) porcelain. It is zirconia, i.e. artificial diamond!  It is super strong and without the metal backing, very aesthetic!

Not only do the crowns fit as well as "goop" impressions, but the lab time is generally cut in half due to the elimination of one way shipping.
